Who says ice melts in the summertime?

The player that schedules summer hockey most wisely develops a few new skills, but most importantly enters the next season refreshed and ready to play.  A weekly summer hockey game is a great way to stay in shape but wisely embrace off-ice relaxation time to maximize gains and performances during the next competitive season.

Summer Hockey Priority List:
1. Rest and Relax
2. Train to prevent injuries

3. Skill Development

The team participated in the 2012 Captial Showdown Tournament in Laurel, MD.  March 9-11.

The boys played great and made it all the way to the Championship game to face the tough squad from Prince William.  The boys had an amazing first period leading the Panthers 3-0.  In the second period the Panthers came out with vengeance and tied it up!  They say a 3 goal lead is the worst lead to have in hockey and that theory unfortunately played out.  The teams fought hard for the rest of the game as the  score went back and forth!! The Parents were left biting their nails and sitting on pins and needles.   Down to the final 2 minutes the Panthers went ahead 6-5 and our boys just  couldn't bury the biscuit to tie it up again.  We are all proud of them!  They represented the North Stars in a respectable way and supported each other throughout the weekend.
